When We Fall Down - a short story by A.B.King

Once upon a time there lived a little 12 year old boy named Alex.  His 15 year old elder brother’s name was Pat and he was acting out right now. Pat had turned into an incorrigible trouble maker. He just kept getting worse and worse.

Initially, Alex had wanted to be like Pat but now he just didn’t know.

Now all Alex could do was to investigate why his brother had changed so drastically – why he was heading down hill fast. After trying desperately a lot of times, Pat later confided in Alex.

Pat told Alex that he had decided to just let things lose, that what was the point, he wouldn’t qualify for heaven. He’d tried to live holy but he keeps falling.

Alex who unlike Pat always pays attention in church told Pat that being a Christian is not about being perfect it is about becoming a child of God and having a relationship with God. God wants us to come to him just like we are with all our sins (filth and all). Then he would wash us free from all our sins.

Nobody expects a Christian to be holy and 100% sinless. We are still people but we are people who are smart enough to know that we need God in our lives. A life without God is a life that is in danger and is in darkness.

If as a Christian we fall we should get back up. If we fall a thousand times we should get back up a thousand times. God is willing and able to forgive us if we ask for forgiveness for our sins.

We must put in a conscious effort to stop sinning; knowing that God’s ever willingness to forgive is not a license to sin.

If you find it hard doing what the bible says we should do and you keep falling short don’t let it make you give up - Don’t let it make you give up on getting closer to God. Just pick yourself up when you fall and try again.

Pat was glad to hear what he had just heard. He got it now. He should still press forward with his relationship with God even though he sometimes fell. God loves him. He loved us while we were yet sinners how much more does he love us know that we’ve acknowledged him as our lord and savior?

From that day on, Pat made up his mind that he would continue his Christian walk.He wasn’t going to be a trouble maker anymore.

Pat firmly declared to himself that no matter how many times he would fall he would stand up. And guess what, this time it became more difficult for him to fall. His walk with God kept shinning brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.

THE END.

A Bentley is not the Driver, And the Driver is not the Bentley/
Your baby is not you, It's just Parked in your Body/

Let's not rename Murder, in other to commit Murder/
Let's not rename Genocide, and call it Parental Planning/
Or Planned Parenthood or Family Planning/
What kind of Parental Plan suggests killing the family?/
How can you be Pro-Choice by robbing the baby's choice?/
The decision to Live or Die belongs to the Life involved/
How dare you choose Death without hearing the Baby's voice/

Rather Than Hate The Rich, Become Rich - a poem by Alfred

Crucify the Rich, Burn them at the Stake/
Punish them for succeeding, where the rest of us has failed/
Their Remote controls the State like the TV channels they made/
Only 1 per cent are safe, 99 per cent are slaves/
Occupy the 1 per cent, Hello to Project Eliminate/
We don't need rich people in the world, walk 'em to their grave/
Like Marie Antoinette, and then We Would Eat Cake/
All Rich People are Evil, Greedy, and Really Vain/
Away with Rich people, Let us dig their graves/
They plan to dig ours, I can see it in their ways/
Who needs the Rich to build Banks, Skyscrapers, and Planes/
Who needs the Rich to build Rockets to take us to Outer Space/
Wealth can't create more jobs than poverty makes/
Poverty is what this country needs, take wealth away/
Destroy the Rich to make the world a better place/
I hate Rich people, even though I work all day/
I'm sure it's no so I could be Rich some day/
And if I get Rich I would give it all away/
Because I hate Riches, I'…
