Cool Isn't Always Cool - Motivation & Inspiration - by Alfred

Psalm 1:1-2 KJV
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Do you want to be cool? Do you want to look cool? Do you want people to think you are cool?
I'm about to share with you something that would shock you.
Let's look at the definition of cool.
No! not from the dictionary, but what it is meant when someone says it in popular sentences that include it.

1) You look cool.

That means you are dressed according to the trending fashion of the day.

So you have reached out of your (own unique personality in your clothing choices) to become something (temporary) with the hope that people would accept your appearance more favorably.
That's sad. You have traded your personality in your fashion choices for a 'fictional - general - trending and temporary' personality.

2) Your dress is cool.

This means your dress is OK!

You see how the word 'Cool' means something completely different and positive here even though the sentences look so similar, and the word 'Cool' could hardly be looked upon as a word that could convey two extremely different meanings.

It is so positive in the second example, as opposed to the first example.

I could give more 'Sentence Examples' to illustrate my point further, but it all boils down to whenever "Cool" isn't used as a substitute for "Ok!", it's basically bad.

Cool isn't something you should try to be. It shouldn't be something you aspire to.
Anytime you aspire to be cool or do something that makes you cool, it means you traded your own uniqueness to become a poor copy of what many other people are pretending to be.

DON'T BE COOL. BE UNIQUE. Then you'll be Ok! (Cool) Always.

Madiba Says - a poem by Alfred

Success awaits every man at the top of the hill/
But after she shakes your hands, you see another hill/
New hills grow taller if you pause to sleep/
Success has feet, she can just get up and leave/
A Real Leader must love this people more than he loves himself/
And be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for them/
He must be dead to self, and live for them/
Otherwise he might ruin them while saving himself/
Freedom doesn't mean having no chains on your wrists/
