Should A Christian Want To Look Holy & Righteous To People? - What I Learned From Rhapsody Of Realities For Today - 13th January 2017 - A Review By A.B.King

1 Timothy 4:7 KJV
But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

In Today's Rhapsody, Pastor Chris talked about something that is often ignored by many preachers in today's age.
Only recently in the last few years have I seen Pastor Chris preaching on this topic.
    I am talking about Holiness.
Not even Holiness that is from the heart like most preachers have preached in past ages of the church. But I am talking about the appearance of being holy.

So Pastor Chris even takes it much farther than any preacher has taken it before.
Now don't misunderstand the message here.
Pastor Chris believes that inward holiness is important. In fact he believes that inward holiness is far more important. However, he believes that outward holiness (the appearance of being holy) is important too.

     Actually, it is even scriptural.
In fact it is what the bible means when it talks about being "godly."
Throughout bible text; Godliness has nothing to do with having God in your life.

In fact, it just means doing what is good, honest or right.

Pastor Chris explained that there are movies we shouldn't watch, music we shouldn't listen to, magazines we shouldn't read, places we shouldn't go... etc, because they are ungodly.

We are not of the world and therefore not like the world.
We cannot act like the world. We cannot expect or want to do everything the world does.
We have principles. We live by principles.

Pastor Chris admonishes that we should never lose sight of who we are.

1 Peter 2:9 AMP
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, God's own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

My Prayer For You:

I pray that do not lust to be like the world but understand and take pride in your difference and not wish or want to do all the disnoble things the world so freely do.

New hills grow taller if you pause to sleep/
