What Is Hope And Where Does Hope Come From? - What I Learned From Kenneth & Gloria Copeland's Daily Devotional For Today - 12th January 2017 - A Review By A.B.King

Acts 2:26-27 KJV
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: [27] Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

In today's devotional, Pastor Kenneth Copeland shares a very important truth.
He said that over 20 years ago God told him that; "The only hope that any man has anywhere in the world is faith in Jesus Christ."

    That is so true.

There is no hope in darkness. There no hope outside of light. There is no hope outside of Christ.

A lot of Christians do not know this so they suffer like the world suffers. They have diseases like everybody else in the world. They suffer poverty like everyone else in the world. They suffer from the effects of evil politicians in power like everyone else in the world all because they don't know who they are and who they've got. They don't know who Jesus is.

Hosea 4:6 KJV
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Lack of knowledge of Jesus kills.
And there is always more to know about Jesus. Apostle Paul called it the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Ephesians 3:8 KJV
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

No one can know all there is to know about God. No one can know everything about Jesus. There is always more to discover. And the more you discover, the better for you. The more you look, the more beauty there is to seeing.

Knowing Jesus has no end. And the more you know him the better for you.

My Favorite Quote In Today's Devotional Is:

"Instead of being filled with the Word and with faith, they've been stuffed full of religious tradition and superstition."

- Pastor Kenneth Copeland.

In the above quote, Pastor Kenneth Copeland is referring to what keeps some Christians from getting the benefits of the knowledge of Christ.

They are stuck on the knowledge of tradition instead.

My Prayer For You:

I pray that it dawns on your spirit that there is no hope outside of Christ and therefore you realise that you cannot truly help anyone outside of the gospel of Christ. So that realisation would prompt you to preach the gospel and support the gospel with all your heart and might. In Jesus Name. Because there is hope no place else.

Further Study:

Mark 4:35-41 KJV
And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. [36] And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. [37] And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. [38] And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? [39] And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. [40] And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? [41] And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
